Special Correspondent, Vanity Fair; Director, Valentino: The Last Emperor

Matt Tyrnauer is a contributing editor at Vanity Fair and partner in Altimeter Films, a Los Angeles-based entertainment company specializing in documentary and narrative film, television, and branded content. His feature film, “Valentino: The Last Emperor” was called “flawless” by Richard Corliss of Time. It was one of the highest-grossing documentaries in 2010 and won the top documentary prize at the Chicago Film Festival. His writing career began at Spy magazine and The New York Observer. Tyrnauer has written for GQ, The New York Times, Architectural Digest, L’Uomo Vogue, and Numero. He is currently writing and getting ready to direct an HBO dramatic adaptation of his Vanity Fair article “Once Upon a Time in Beverly Hills.”
