Matt Malone is president and editor in chief of America Media, publisher of America magazine, where he was associate editor from 2007 to 2009. He was previously founding deputy director of the think tank MassINC, co-publisher of CommonWealth, and special assistant and speechwriter to then US representative Martin Meehan. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and The Washington Post, among others. An ordained priest since 2012, Malone is chaplain to the New York Press Club, a member of the pastoral team at New York’s Cathedral of Saint Patrick, author of Catholiques Sans Etiquette, and a member of the Colloquium on Violence and Religion.
