Marc Freedman is president and CEO of Encore.org, an innovation hub tapping the talents of people 50 and over for good. He spearheaded the Purpose Prize and co-founded Experience Corps, which mobilizes people over 50 to improve the prospects of low-income elementary school students; both are now programs of AARP. Freedman is a member of The Wall Street Journal’s Experts Panel, a media commentator, and author of five books, including How to Live Forever: The Enduring Power of Connecting the Generations. He was named a World Economic Forum Social Entrepreneur of the Year, a leading social entrepreneur by Fast Company magazine, and received the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship.
