Lou Fierens is senior vice president of supply chain, fixed asset management, laboratory services, and philanthropy for Trinity Health, which he joined in 2001. He’s responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans in all areas of the health care supply chain, as well as for multiple system shared services including clinical engineering, real estate, food and environmental services, laboratory services, and coordinating management of major capital projects. This amounts to managing a total annual value of approximately $7 billion. Prior to joining Trinity Health, Fierens spent 15 years with General Motors Corporation in assignments of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, production control, logistics, strategic planning, and worldwide purchasing.
