Race Car Driver; Environmental Activist
Leilani Münter is a professional race-car driver and environmental activist. She races in the ARCA Series, a development league of NASCAR, and is the fourth woman in history to race in the Indy Pro Series, the development league of IndyCar. Using her race car to spread environmental awareness, Münter has been adopting one acre of rainforest for every race she runs since 2007. A vegan with an electric car and solar-powered house, she sits on the advisory board of The Solutions Project, a nonprofit dedicated to accelerating the transition to 100 percent renewable energy. Discovery’s Planet Green named Münter the No. 1 eco-athlete in the world.
