Lee Ann Savio Beers is medical director for municipal and regional affairs within the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children’s National Health System, where she is an assistant pediatrics professor in the Goldberg Center for Community Pediatric Health and director of DC Mental Health Access in Pediatrics. She also oversees the DC Collaborative for Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care and co-directs the Early Childhood Innovation Network. Beers was previously a general pediatrician at the Naval Hospital in Guantanamo Bay (Cuba) and the National Naval Medical Center. She has held several positions with the American Academy of Pediatrics and co-chairs the DC mayor’s State Early Childhood Development Coordinating Council. (Festival Underwriter Presenter)
