Kwame Anthony Appiah

Kwame Anthony Appiah is a philosopher, cultural theorist, and author. He teaches philosophy and law at New York University. He previously taught at Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Cornell, and the University of Ghana and lectured often at universities in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. He is the author of In My Father’s House: Africa in the Philosophy of Culture and editor, with Henry Louis Gates Jr., of the Encyclopedia of Africa. His most recent books are The Honor Code: How Moral Revolutions Happen and Lines of Descent: W. E. B. Du Bois and the Emergence of Identity.
