Kimberly Pikok

Kimberly Kivvaq Pikok is an Iñupiaq from Utqiagvik, Alaska, and a senior at University of Alaska, Fairbanks, studying wildlife biology and conservation. Passionate about learning how climate change impacts the Arctic’s floral and faunal health, she wants to pursue an environmental education degree in order to inspire and encourage other Native youth to pursue careers in the sciences. Since 2016, Pikok has been involved in the Fresh Tracks program, a leadership training expedition for diverse young leaders from across the nation. She is a 2020 Arctic Indigenous Scholar of ARCUS, the Arctic Research Consortium of the United States, and was a Haskell Environmental Research Studies intern at Haskell Indian Nations University in summer 2019.
