Kim Gandy

President and CEO, National Network to End Domestic Violence

Kim Gandy is president and CEO of the National Network to End Domestic Violence. She has been committed for more than two decades to ensuring that women can lead healthy lives in safety and prosperity. Her work on behalf of women began as a young activist in Louisiana. She has prosecuted violent offenders, and she was an energetic participant in the passage of the Violence Against Women Act in 1994. Gandy drafted Louisiana’s first Domestic Abuse Assistance Act and helped open the state’s first transitional shelter. She served as national president of the National Organization for Women from 2001 to 2009.
