Karim Sadjadpour is a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He previously worked as an analyst with the International Crisis Group, based in Tehran and Washington. He is the author of Reading Khamenei: The World View of Iran’s Most Powerful Leader. He appears frequently on CNN, BBC, and NPR, and has written for The Economist, Foreign Affairs, The Washington Post, and Foreign Policy. In 2007, he was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in Davos. He is a board member of the Banu Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting grassroots organizations that are empowering women. He is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University.
