
Judith Sheine

Judith Sheine is a professor of architecture at University of Oregon College of Design and design director of the TallWood Design Institute, a collaboration between UO and Oregon State University focused on the advancement of timber products and their application in building. She is also a Distinguished Professor with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture. Sheine’s research has focused on the relationships between design and construction technologies; for the last ten years she has worked in interdisciplinary collaborations on mass timber products and systems. Previously, she was head of UO’s Department of Architecture and professor and chair of the Architecture Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. An award-winning architect, Sheine has published extensively on Southern California architects whose work explored the connections between design and construction systems.
