Jim Pickup is president of the Middle East Investment Initiative, a nonprofit that designs and implements development finance and technical assistance programs to facilitate economic opportunities and sustainable job creation. Pickup is also general counsel, a Henry Crown fellow, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute. Previously, he was a partner at DLA Piper international law firm from 1997 to 2013. In 2000 and 2001, Pickup was Senator George Mitchell's representative on the Sharm el-Sheikh Fact-Finding Committee, an international committee established to examine the crisis between the Israelis and Palestinians and make recommendations to prevent its recurrence.
