Jamie Merisotis

Jamie P. Merisotis is president and CEO of Lumina Foundation, which focuses on increasing Americans’ success in higher education. Prior to joining Lumina in 2008, he co-founded and led the Institute for Higher Education Policy and was executive director of a bipartisan national commission on college affordability. Merisotis is author of America Needs Talent (2015) and a frequent media commentator and contributor. His writing has appeared in The Washington Post, Washington Monthly, The Wall Street Journal, Politico, and other publications. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a trustee of Bates College, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Anatolia College in Greece, and the European Access Network.
