Heather McGhee is president of Demos, a public-policy organization working toward political and economic equality. She was previously vice president of policy and outreach for Demos. In 2009, she co-chaired a task force within Americans for Financial Reform that helped shape provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. In 2008, she served as deputy policy director for domestic and economic policy with the John Edwards for President Campaign. McGhee is a contributor to MSNBC, a member of the World Economic Forum, and serves on the boards of the Center for Working Families, the WEF’s Global Agenda Council on Civic Participation, and Consumer Reports.
