
Gül Dölen is a professor and the Renee and Lance Corporal Bob Parsons Endowed Chair in the department of psychology and professor of neuroscience at Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute and Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics at University of California, Berkeley. Dölen is also an adjunct professor of neuroscience and neurology at Johns Hopkins University. A leader of psychedelics research, her hypothesis is that they may be the key for unlocking critical periods across the brain. Her framework expands the scope of disorders possibly benefiting from adjunct therapy with psychedelics. Dölen’s honors include the Joukowsky Family Foundation Award, Conquer Fragile X Rising Star Award, and Angus MacDonald Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
