
Fred Dust
Designer and Consultant; Former Senior Partner, IDEO
Fred Dust is a designer, educator, author, and consultant. He was until recently senior partner and global managing director for design firm IDEO and a founder and trustee for IDEO.org. Currently, he’s working on a book on creativity, design, and dialogue to be released in 2020 and has been awarded a Rockefeller Bellagio Fellowship to advance research in the same arena. Dust applies the craft and optimism of human-centered design to today’s challenges, most recently investigating new ways to ignite constructive dialogue. A speaker and lecturer, he writes for publications including Fast Company and Metropolis and serves on the boards of the Sundance Institute, NPR, and The New School.
