Franklin Foer is a staff writer and national correspondent at The Atlantic. Previously, he was editor of The New Republic, from 2006 to 2010 and again from 2012 to 2014. Foer is the author of World Without Mind: The Existential Threat of Big Tech, which explores the influence of Amazon, Facebook, Apple, and Google on modern life and was named one of the best books of 2017 by The New York Times. A former New America Fellow, he has also written for Slate and New York, and his book, How Soccer Explains the World, An Unlikely Theory of Globalization, was published in 2004.
