Author, Hirohito's War: The Pacific War 1941-1945

Francis Pike is an historian and economic and geopolitical advisor who has lived and worked for 20 years in Japan, China, and India and has advised financial institutions and governments in Japan, Australia, India, China, Singapore, Bangladesh, Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. He started his career as a fund manager and analyst in Asian markets. Pike is the author of Empires at War, a history of Asia since World War II, and Hirohito’s War, an encyclopedic narrative of the Pacific War that discusses high politics, strategy, and tactical maneuver as well as a blow-by-blow account of every major battle of the conflict.
