Ezekiel Emanuel is vice provost for global initiatives, the Diane v.S. Levy and Robert M. Levy University Professor, and chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at University of Pennsylvania. He was previously founding chair of the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health. Emanuel has served as a special advisor on health policy to the director of the Office of Management and Budget and to the National Economic Council. The author of Reinventing American Health Care and its sequel, the forthcoming Prescription for the Future, he is also a venture partner at Oak HC/FT and contributor to The New York Times and Fox News.
