Eric Genden is chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and a professor of otolaryngology, neurosurgery, and immunobiology for Mount Sinai Health System. He is also chief of the Division of Head and Neck Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital and specializes in the use of robotic surgery to treat patients with head and neck tumors without creating external incisions. In 2006, Genden was the first surgeon to perform a jaw transplant in the United States. He is a member of the American Head and Neck Society and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
