Elise Labott is a global affairs correspondent for CNN, covering US foreign policy and international affairs. She has reported from more than 75 countries on major global events including the September 11 terrorist attacks; the Arab Spring uprisings from Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Morocco; and on tensions with North Korea from the de-militarized zone. Most recently, Labott has reported on the conflicts in Syria and Ukraine. In 2015, she reported from Israel on the country’s elections and traveled to Washington with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his controversial speech to Congress. She is vice president of the State Department Correspondents Association and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
