
Eleni Myrivili is a senior fellow and senior consultant on heat resilience for the Arsht-Rock Resilience Center, a program of the Atlantic Council. She is also chief heat officer for the City of Athens, Greece. From 2017 through 2019, Myrivili served as Athens’s deputy mayor for urban nature and climate resilience; she was first elected to the city council in 2014 as a Green candidate in a center-left coalition. Previously, she held a tenured position at the University of the Aegean and was a Loeb Fellow at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design for one year. Myrivili currently co-chairs the steering committee of the global Resilient Cities Network.
