Eleni Myrivili is chief heat officer for the City of Athens, Greece, and senior fellow for resilience and sustainability at Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center, working to prepare cities for extreme heat by developing and adopting climate adaptation and mitigation strategies. She is also the global chief heat officer at UN-Habitat, the United Nations' program for human settlements and sustainable urban development. Previously, Myrivili was deputy mayor of Athens for urban nature and chief resilience officer. An EU Mission Adaptation board member at the European Commission invited for a TED Global talk in Vancouver, her work has been featured in The New York Times and on CNN. Myrivili was named to the Politico.eu list of 28 most influential Europeans for 2022.
