Chairman and CEO, B612 Foundation

Ed Lu is chairman and CEO of the B612 Foundation, which strives to protect the future of our planet, while extending our reach into the solar system. Lu is a former NASA astronaut who flew three space missions, including six months on the International Space Station. Prior to B612, he led Google’s Advanced Projects group, where his teams developed imaging technology for Google Earth/Maps and Google Street View. Lu co-invented the Gravity Tractor, a spacecraft able to controllably alter the orbit of an asteroid.
