Diane Tavenner is co-founder and CEO of Summit Public Schools, which operates eleven schools in California and Washington and a free program now in over 330 schools, Summit Learning, its personalized approach to teaching and learning. Previously a teacher and administrator at California public schools, Tavenner is a member and moderator of the Pahara-Aspen Education Fellowship, a fellow in the Broad Academy, and a member of the Young Presidents Organization. Summit’s accolades include being named among the top schools in California and in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and one of the world’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Education by Fast Company.
