Diana Cox-Foster

Professor of Entomology, College of Agricultural Sciences, Pennsylvania State University

Diana Cox-Foster is a professor of entomology at Pennsylvania State University, which she joined in 1987. She participates in the Huck Institute for Life Science, Center for Pollinator Research, and Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics. Cox-Foster, whose research focuses on honey bees and their interactions with pathogens and stresses, is among the researchers working to unravel the causes of abnormal colony losses. Her research has revealed new information on the transmission routes of viruses and the impacts of stress on the infections. Cox-Foster is determining if any of the factors affecting honey bees are impacting native pollinators.
