David Grubin is a director, writer, producer, and cinematographer whose many films include LBJ, FDR,Young Doctor Freud, The Secret Life of the Brain, The Mysterious Human Heart, The Jewish Americans, and The Buddha. He has taught documentary film at Columbia University’s Graduate Film Program and lectured extensively on filmmaking. Grubin has won every award for documentary television, including two Alfred I. Dupont awards, three George Foster Peabody prizes, five Writer’s Guild prizes, and ten Emmys. He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship and has been a Montgomery Fellow at Dartmouth College. He serves on the Poets House board.
