Professor and Founding Director, Institute of Transportation Studies, University of California at Davis
Daniel Sperling is a professor of engineering and environmental science and policy and founding director of the Institute of Transportation Studies at University of California, Davis. He holds the transportation seat on the California Air Resources Board. Sperling received a 2010 Heinz Award for his achievements in researching alternative transportation fuels and his responsibility for adoption of cleaner transportation policies in California and across the United States. He is the author of more than 200 scientific papers and twelve books, including Two Billion Cars.
