Daniel Castro

Daniel Castro is vice president of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation and director of its Center for Data Innovation. In 2015, he was appointed to the US commerce secretary’s Commerce Data Advisory Council. Previously, Castro worked as an analyst at the Government Accountability Office, contributing to reports on information security at the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He writes and speaks on IT issues and internet policy and has been cited in the The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, USA Today, and Bloomberg News. Castro was named to FedScoop’s 2013 list of the top 25 most influential people under 40 in government and tech.
