Musician, Actor, and Activist; CEO, Think Common
Common is an award-winning artist, actor, and activist. His social justice and advocacy work focuses on mass incarceration, mental health, and voting, and he launched a nonprofit, Imagine Justice, in 2018. Common has released eleven studio albums, most recently Black America Again, which included the Emmy Award-winning single, “Letter to the Free.” His supergroup, August Greene, has been performing since January 2018 and recently released a self-titled album. A television and film producer and actor, his film credits include the Oscar-nominated Selma, for which his song “Glory” won an Academy Award and Golden Globe. Common authored a memoir, One Day It’ll All Make Sense, and more recently, Let Love Have the Last Word.
