Christie Aschwanden is an award-winning journalist and author of the New York Times best-seller Good to Go: What the Athlete in All of Us Can Learn from the Strange Science of Recovery. She’s producer and co-host of “Emerging Form,” a podcast about the creative process. Previously the lead science writer at FiveThirtyEight, Aschwanden contributes to The Washington Post and The New York Times. Her work also appears in publications including Discover, Popular Science, Slate, Consumer Reports, New Scientist, Men’s Journal, Runner’s World, NPR, Smithsonian, and O, the Oprah Magazine. Aschwanden is a lifelong endurance athlete, having been a high school track star, collegiate cycling champion, and elite Nordic skier.
