
Caryl Stern
Executive Director, Walton Family Foundation
Caryl Stern is executive director of the Walton Family Foundation. She was previously president and CEO of UNICEF USA, spearheading relief efforts for children affected by the Haiti earthquake, 2011 East Africa drought, Ebola and Zika epidemics, and ongoing global refugee and migrant crises. Prior to that, Stern was an executive at the Anti-Defamation League, founding director of its A World of Difference® Institute, and dean of students at Polytechnic University. A public speaker, she presented at the White House’s inaugural summit on The United State of Women. Stern’s service includes The Container Store, We Are Family Foundation, and The World’s Big Sleep Out. Among other honors, she was named one of People’s 25 Women Changing the World in 2017.
