Carl Armato

Carl Armato is president and CEO of Novant Health. Since joining the company in 1998 as vice president of finance and operations in its Charlotte and Winston-Salem physician divisions, he has been senior vice president of materials management and logistics, COO and then president/CEO of Novant Presbyterian Healthcare, president of Novant Health markets, and COO. Previously, Armato was vice president of operations for First Care Physicians, finance director for the General Health System in Baton Rouge, LA, and a senior tax/audit consultant for Ernst & Young. He chairs the American Health Association Charlotte Chapter and serves with the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the Veterans Health Administration.
