Cameron Hepburn is a professor of environmental economics at University of Oxford, where he also directs the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment and the Economics of Sustainability Programme, based at the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School. Hepburn has co-founded three successful businesses and provides advice on energy and environmental policy to government ministers in China, India, the United Kingdom, and Australia, as well as to international institutions including the United Nations and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. He has published widely on energy, resources, and environmental challenges across disciplines including engineering, biology, philosophy, economics, public policy, and law.
