Bria Skonberg
Trumpeter, Vocalist, and Songwriter
Bria Skonberg is a trumpeter, vocalist, and songwriter. She tours festivals and stages all over the world with her band, played at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in her home province of British Columbia, and led the all-female Sisterhood of Swing Seven at Lincoln Center, among other performances. Skonberg’s 2016 album, Bria, won a Canadian Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year and made the Top 5 on Billboard’s jazz chart. Her music has over 3.5 million streams on Spotify. Skonberg’s educational pursuits include teaching at Sacramento Traditional Jazz Camp, creating educational opportunities with Louis Armstrong House Museum, and co-founding the New York Hot Jazz Camp for Adults.
