Ann Cooper is a chef, educator, and advocate for better food for children. She is director of nutrition services for the Boulder Valley School District and founder of the Chef Ann Foundation, which she began in 2009 to focus on solutions to the school food crisis. Her decades-long career includes 15 years in school food programs and chef positions with Holland America Cruises, Radisson Hotels, Telluride Ski Resort, and the Putney Inn in Vermont. Cooper is the author of four books, including Lunch Lessons and Bitter Harvest. She speaks widely, has been honored by the National Resources Defense Council, and was selected as a Kellogg Food and Society Policy fellow.
