Angela Stent is director of Georgetown University’s Center for Eurasian, Russian, and East European Studies and a Brookings Institution senior fellow. From 2004 to 2006, she was national intelligence officer for Russia and Eurasia at National Intelligence Council. From 1999 to 2001, she served in the State Department Office of Policy Planning. Stent’s publications include: The Limits of Partnership; Russia and Germany Reborn; and From Embargo to Ostpolitik. She is a senior advisor to SACEUR General Philip Breedlove, a member of Council on Foreign Relations, and serves on several journal editorial boards and that of the Eurasia Foundation.
