Angela Glover Blackwell

Angela Glover Blackwell is founder and CEO of PolicyLink, a leading voice in the movement to use public policy to improve access and opportunity for low-income people and communities of color. Prior to founding PolicyLink in 1999, Blackwell was senior vice president at the Rockefeller Foundation, founder of the Oakland (CA) Urban Strategies Council, and a partner at Public Advocates. She is co-author of Uncommon Common Ground: Race and America’s Future and All In Nation: An America that Works for All, a collaboration with the Center for American Progress. Blackwell’s board service included the Children’s Defense Fund and The President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for African Americans.
