
Allan Schwartzman is a founder and principal of Art Agency, Partners and chairman of global fine arts for its parent company, Sotheby’s. He has more than 20 years’ experience advising contemporary art collectors and is a respected independent curator, including for Instituto Inhotim, a contemporary art park in a botanical garden in Brazil. Schwartzman was a founding staff member and curator of the New Museum of Contemporary Art. A frequent guest speaker and panelist at MoMA, the Guggenheim Museum, and Art Basel, he has written for publications including The New Yorker, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Artforum, and Art in America and was a contributing editor of Connoisseur. He serves on the Artists Space board.
