Zoë Baird is CEO and president of Markle Foundation and leads Rework America, a Markle initiative of leaders creating paths to opportunity in the digital economy. She wrote the preface to the group’s collectively authored book, America’s Moment, and leads a national partnership to create a skills-based labor market, Skillful.com. Baird was previously senior vice president and general counsel at Aetna, counselor and staff executive at GE, a partner at O’Melveny & Myers, associate counsel to President Carter, and an attorney-advisor in the US Justice Department. She is a founding co-chair of the US Commerce Department’s Digital Economy Board of Advisors and a director of the Council on Foreign Relations.
