Tim Walz

Governor of Minnesota

Tim Walz is the 41st governor of Minnesota, elected to his second term in 2022. Prior to this, he was a member of the US House of Representatives, representing Minnesota's 1st congressional district from 2007 to 2019. There, Walz introduced the STOCK Act to limit congressional insider trading which was passed with bipartisan support in both the House and Senate. Previously, he was a high school social studies teacher and football coach. Walz served for 24 years in the Army National Guard and retired from the 125th Field Artillery Battalion as a master sergeant. Earlier in his career, he was one of the first American teachers to work in high schools in China.
