Steven Mariotti
Steve Mariotti is the founder and president of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), a nonprofit organization that has taught thousands of young people across the country how to start their own small businesses. An expert in education for at-risk youth, he changed career paths in 1982 and moved from the corporate sector to become a special education teacher in New York City. He created NFTE in 1987 in order to bring entrepreneurial education to low-income youth. He is the author of a number of books on entrepreneurship, including The Young Entrepreneur’s Guide to Starting and Running a Business, and he is a frequent speaker at Davos and other business forums.
