Stefan Heck is a consulting professor at the Precourt Institute for Energy at Stanford University, where he directs the Energy Transformation Collaborative and is a research fellow at the Steyer Taylor Center. He is also an angel investor in disruptive technology companies. Heck was previously a director/senior partner at McKinsey & Company and co-founded and led its clean tech and sustainability practice. He has published the book, Resource Revolution: How to Capture the Biggest Business Opportunity in a Century, and serves on the boards or advisory boards of United Technologies, the Biomimicry Institute, New World Capital, Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital, and Stanford School of Earth Sciences.
