is executive director of Doctors Without Borders USA. With a background in international affairs and more than 15 years running health programs in countries from China to Rwanda, Delaunay leads Doctors Without Borders as the organization continues its mission of providing independent humanitarian assistance to people caught in crisis. Prior to her current post, Delaunay worked for Doctors Without Borders in various capacities, including country administrator in Thailand and Rwanda, head of mission in China, and in the agency’s North Korea program. She assisted the tens of thousands of refugees fleeing Southeast Asia’s wars and sought creative ways to provide AIDS treatment in China and care for North Korean asylum seekers. She also served as administrative and financial director of Epicentre, the organization’s epidemiological research center.
