Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth

Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth is a professor in the Human Development and Family Studies Department at Purdue University, where she directs the Military Family Research Institute and Center for Families. She is a fellow of the National Council on Family Relations, was civilian co-chair of the Department of Defense Task Force on Mental Health, and served on the Institute of Medicine’s Returning Veterans Committee and the Psychological Health External Advisory Committee to the Defense Health Board. MacDermid Wadsworth received the Work Life Legacy Award from the Families and Work Institute and the 2012 Morrill Award from Purdue University for outstanding career achievements with an impact on society.
