Correspondent, American Public Media's "Marketplace"

Scott Tong is a correspondent for the "Marketplace" sustainability desk and former China bureau chief. His reporting focuses on energy, environment, resources, climate, and the global economy. He has met with indigenous Mexican farmers adapting to unpredictable weather, Ohio pipeline workers, Somali famine survivors, battery entrepreneurs, Fukushima nuclear plant refugees, and the father of modern fracking. His energy stories have taken him to fracking wells around the country. Tong will spend the upcoming academic year at the University of Michigan as a Knight-Wallace journalism fellow.
