Scott Ralls

President, North Carolina Community Colleges

Scott Ralls is president of the North Carolina Community College System, which encompasses 58 colleges serving 830,000 individuals annually. Under his leadership, NCCCS initiated a set of initiatives on student success and program completion that was recognized by the Brookings Institution and the Rockefeller Foundation. His efforts have also led to enhanced funding for STEM, health care, and technical education. In addition to other leadership positions at NCCCS, Ralls was previously president of Craven Community College and a director at the North Carolina Department of Commerce. He recently chaired the National Council of State Directors of Community Colleges.
