Samantha Power is Professor of Practice at Harvard Law School and Harvard Kennedy School. She is a former US permanent representative to the UN and former member of President Obama’s Cabinet, where she was special assistant to the president for multilateral affairs and human rights. Power authored A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide, which won the Pulitzer Prize, and Sergio. She co-edited The Unquiet American: Richard Holbrooke in the World. Power began her career as a journalist, reporting from places such as Bosnia, East Timor, Rwanda, Sudan, and Zimbabwe, and contributing to the New Republic, the New York Review of Books, and The New Yorker.
