Ryan Calo is an assistant professor of law at the University of Washington and founding director of its interdisciplinary Tech Policy Lab. He previously directed research at the Stanford Law School Center for Internet and Society, worked at Covington and Burling LLP, and clerked for a federal appellate judge. Calo’s work on robotics appears in leading journals such as California Law Review and has led to, among other things, the opportunity to testify before the US Senate. Calo serves on the advisory boards of Electronic Privacy Information Center, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the Future of Privacy Forum, and National Robotics Week.
