Ross Wiener

Executive Director, Education and Society Program, and Vice President, The Aspen Institute

Ross Wiener is a vice president at the Aspen Institute and executive director of the Education and Society Program, a position he has held since 2009. He leads a team of educators and analysts in creating rich learning experiences for education leaders and policymakers and creating resources that assist leaders in improving educational outcomes, with a particular emphasis on students of color and students from low-income families. Wiener also sits on the National Commission on Social, Emotional, and Academic Development, which is sponsored by the Aspen Institute. From 2002 to 2009, he was the policy director and then vice president for program and policy at The Education Trust.
