Ross Wiener

Executive Director, Education and Society Program, and Vice President, The Aspen Institute

Ross Wiener is a vice president at the Aspen Institute and executive director of the Education and Society Program, a position he has held since 2009. He leads a team of educators and analysts in creating rich learning experiences for education leaders and policymakers and creating resources to assist leaders in improving educational outcomes. From 2002 to 2009, Wiener was the policy director and then vice president for program and policy at The Education Trust. He previously served for five years as a trial attorney in the US Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, in the Educational Opportunities Section.
