Roger W. Sant

Roger W. Sant is co-founder and chairman emeritus of The AES Corporation. Prior to starting AES in 1981, Sant was assistant administrator for energy conservation and the environment at the Federal Energy Administration and director of the Mellon Institute’s Energy Productivity Center. Sant is chairman of The Summit Foundation and a regent emeritus of the Smithsonian Institution. He is vice chair of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, a board member and former chair of the World Wildlife Fund US, and a board member of the National Symphony Orchestra. He was previously a director of Marriott International.
